Ovation CPA Adult Acting

Ovation’s Adult Acting Program provides our students the opportunity to continue to experience a wide range of vibrant and energetic core subjects and an extensive array of specialist studies.

Students will continue to study an advanced variety of acting skills for stage, film, television and radio as well as developing and perfecting the different approaches to the acting process.

Students will carry on creating vital new work and performing on stage or in front of the camera. The Adults program is more intensive and studies in this program will become more theory based as well as practical. We will also carry on preparing students for the challenges of new and emerging ways of working in the performing arts.

We aim to extend our students knowledge, understanding and practical skills in all aspects of the performing arts and provide educational options that are essential for student’s immediate and future education.

For those students wanting careers in the Arts our Adults Acting Program also focus on life beyond the classroom and we have a range of life skills and performing arts options where students can listen to and ask questions of industry professionals, with the aim to build working partnerships and contacts along with industry awareness.

Students are also supported and introduced to self-management and can apply their practical skills in a professional environment through work placement opportunities.
There is no experience necessary and you can start today so join us at Ovation and give yourself the opportunity to learn invaluable skills that will assist you throughout life.

Adults Program Learning Outcomes

In Ovations Adult Acting Program students assimilate a range of highly demanding physical, vocal and psychological acting techniques for the analysis, rehearsal and blocking of famous film and television scenes to be filmed.

In addition to studying both stage and screenplays students work through techniques in script analysis to unlock key subject matter, basic character actions and objectives and perform the scenes with clarity and deep contextual understanding.

These scenes will be digitally shot and then edited. Students will then sit down and watch in front of an invited audience of classmates, friends, teachers and invited guests, to witness their newly learnt skills.

The Adults program is extension of our Next Generation Acting Program and some components include:
